Who is Dr Disrespect? Dr Disrespect also known by his real name, Herschel Beahm is a an American gamer who is know for his high energy streams and signature look. He’s also a full time Twitch streamer and online personality.
Dr Disrespect has, as of April 2020 got more than 4.2 million followers on Twitch. You’ll often find him playing battle royale titles such as H1Z1, Apex Legends And Modern Warfare.
He also used to play PUBG but famously un-installed the game when he had a run in with a hacker, video below.
The streaming shows that Dr Disrespect puts on are noted for being really high quality and having extremely good production value. And without doubt, he’ll be seen wearing red headphones and some form of red clothing.
His look wouldn’t be complete without his mullet, mustache and sunglasses.

Dr Disrespect is one of the most popular, yet controversial streamers on the Twitch Platform. He’s well liked for his high energy, rage humour and his engaging Twitch chat. But, most of all people like his ‘character’. Afterall, he describes himself as an entertainer!
Beahm says that he’s not a professional gamer but an entertainer in the streaming industry. He said “I created a character who plays multiplayer video games, and he’s considered the most dominating gaming specimen.”
He is quite dominating! He stands tall at over 2 metres tall!
Before starting his full time streaming career he worked for Sledgehammer as a level designer and helped create many of the multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
Beahm joined Twitch (when it was called Justin.TV) whilst working at Sledgehammer.
Although he first posted a gaming video all the way back in January 2010, it wasn’t until 2015 that he concentrated on streaming full time when he left Sledgehammer.
The vast popularity of Dr Disrespect has brought a whole host of bootleg t-shirts and merch out of the woodwork. There are hundreds of bootleg (not official) t-shirts and other merchandise available online.

Controversies
Dr Disrespect is known for being one of the more controversial streamers. There have been a number of controversies surrounding him. Including being shot at and being banned from Twitch.
Shots Fired
Dr Disrespect shut down his stream after someone fired a gun at his house shattering a window. Investigations shown that the gun shots were in fact from from a BB gun. But it still leaves a question mark over streamers and safety concerns.
Unfaithful
In December of 2017 Dr Disrespect admitted to cheating on his wife whilst on a live stream. He also announced that he would be taking an extended break from the streaming platform. He’d be spending lots more time with his family.
After fixing his relationship with his wife he returned to streaming in February of 2018. That return stream broke his viewer number record. He had a viewership of 388,000 viewers watch his comeback.
He still lives with his wife and daughter in California.
Banned From Twitch
The Dr got banned from Twitch during E3 when he and his cameraman filmed live in a men’s bathroom.
He walked into a men’s public bathroom at the event and filmed inside it. The reason he was banned was that on his stream he had exposed the people using the facilities on his live stream! Filming inside a public bathroom is against Californian law
Shortly after the end of the E3 IRL stream, his channel went down and became unavailable. There was a statement announced sometime later detailing the ban.
E3 organizers revoked DrDisrespect’s access to the event after the Twitch ban. That means he’s not allowed to be at the event. It’s likely that media commitments will have had financial implications for not just him but for his fans too.
Doc’s fans likely won’t be refunded for the money they’ve spent paying for subscriptions to his channel.
