Popular Nintendo Switch games often cast such a huge shadow that it’s possible to miss hidden classics.There’s loads of great indie games that are still keeping a low profile and because of that, they’re under-rated.

Downwell is one of those under-rated switch games, the artwork reminds me a bit like Project Starship, which is another awesome game and well worth playing.

You’ll try to descend from the top and destroy your enemies in each level, on increasingly difficult and differentiated maps. There are weapons you can use, but your real strength is your movements, in which you’ll have to make fast decisions.

Downwell is a combination of platform and action, and much more challenging than it seems. Be sure to check out this game, released in 2019, since its gameplay is timeless.
