Get ready to discover the hidden treasures of Nintendo Switch, one of the most popular consoles of all time. I believe at the time of writing it’s just moved into 3rd position behind the PS2 and Nintendo DS.
These games may not have found a place on the bestseller lists. But trust me – you’ll thank me every time you play one of them. Here’s three under-rated Nintendo Switch games you should play right now!
When you think of Nintendo Switch games, you usually think of classic titles such as; Animal Crossing, Breath of the Wild or Mario Kart.
There are countless classics out there waiting to be discovered by the masses. Here’s a bunch of lesser known Nintendo Switch Games.
The Most Under Rated Nintendo Switch Games
There are some real gems among the under rated Nintendo Switch games in this list. I recommend you take a look at the games I’ve covered and consider playing a a couple of them:
- Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth
After playing this game for a just a few minutes, you’ll wonder why it’s under-rated.. Well, there’s really only one reason for that, it came out the same year as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one of the best games ever.
Arms is a game that is completely designed for the Nintendo Switch, both in terms of mechanics and gameplay. Once you master the controls, it’s a lot of fun to throw right and left hooks at your opponents.
Far from being a button bashing boxing fighting game, this game manages to bring out the most entertaining side of boxing. You’ll be able to try to make your career as good as Rocky Balboa’s against other players, whether in single-player or online mode.
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth
We have very little time before the Pokemon police come and arrest me. Digimon was an animated series that was very popular in the 90s, just like Pokemon. And just like it, it has games, comics, and more. But it was never the most popular series, often overshadowed by the former!
Unfortunately, Digimon the game also shares this fate. With its original story, smooth gameplay and more detailed battle system it’s actually better than some Pokemon games. You should definitely check Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth out, it’s very very under-rated.
It’s available from Amazon or from the Nintendo Switch store.
Popular Nintendo Switch games often cast such a huge shadow that it’s possible to miss hidden classics. There’s loads of great indie games that are still keeping a low profile and because of that, they’re under-rated.
Downwell is one of those under-rated switch games, the artwork reminds me a bit like Project Starship, which is another awesome game and well worth playing.
You’ll try to descend from the top and destroy your enemies in each level, on increasingly difficult and differentiated maps. There are weapons you can use, but your real strength is your movements, in which you’ll have to make fast decisions.
Downwell is a combination of platform and action, and much more challenging than it seems. Be sure to check out this game, released in 2019, since its gameplay is timeless.
