All PS Plus Games in 2021

We’ll list the months in descending order so we get the latest PS Plus games in 2021 first. And, as I mentioned we’ll will be updating this list until the end of the year. So, be sure to keep following the blog to receive updates on all PS Plus games in 2021!

So, let’s start with Decembers games.

December 2021

  • Not Yet Announced

November 2021

  • First Class Trouble (PS5, PS4)
  • Knockout City (PS5, PS4)
  • Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)
  • The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (PSVR)
  • The Persistence (PSVR)
  • Until You Fall (PSVR)

Sony gave us 3 bonus PSVR games in November, a fantastic month all round. I particularly like the inclusion of The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners.

First Class Trouble in my opinion is a highly disguised rip off of Among Us. You’ll see for yourself what I mean if you read the below synopsis:

First Class Trouble is a party game where players must work together and against each other to survive a disaster. The goal is to shut down a deadly A.I. Some players are impostors, secretly playing as human-looking killer robots intent on betraying the other players. First Class Trouble is the perfect marriage of statistics and psychology, of mob rule and democracy, reason and emotion.

October 2021 PS Plus Games

Hell Let Loose Came to PS Plus in 2021.
Hell Let Loose Came to PS Plus in 2021.
  • Hell Let Loose (PS5)
  • Mortal Kombat X (PS4)
  • PGA Tour 2K21 (PS4)

October brought with it a fantastic sports game in the name of PGA Tour 2K21 on PS4, the shooting game Hell Let Loose for PS5, and the classic combat game Mortal Kombat X for PS4.

PGA Tour 2K21 was a bit of a disappointment to most players, while Hell Let Loose wasn’t that well received. Mortal Kombat X is the top player’s pick of the month and for good reason, it’s fantastic.

September 2021 PS Plus Games

All PS Plus Games 2021: Overcooked was a hit!
All PS Plus Games 2021: Overcooked was a hit!
  • Overcooked: All You Can Eat (PS5)
  • Hitman 2 (PS4)
  • Predator: Hunting Grounds (PS4)

This month, players received the stealth game Hitman 2 on PS4, the chaotic cooking game Overcooked! All You Can Eat for PS5, and the fighting game Predator: Hunting Grounds for PS4. While there are not many great reviews for Predator: Hunting Grounds, Overcooked! All You Can Eat and Hitman 2 are definitely worthy of being the player’s top picks of the month.

August 2021 PS Plus Games

  • Hunter’s Arena: Legends (PS5, PS4)
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (PS4)
  • Tennis World Tour 2 (PS4)

If you thought last month’s selection was the perfect mix of “good” and “bad”, check out what this month offered to PS Plus subscribers.

The selection of games for August includes the battle royal-ish game, Hunter’s Arena: Legends on the PS5, Tennis World Tour 2 for PS4, and this classic chaotic but fun game Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville on PS4.

Tennis World Tour 2 has a bunch of mixed opinions. However, Plants vs. Zombies continues giving the entertainment promised, and it is definitely the top player’s pick for this month.

July 2021 PS Plus Games

  • A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5)
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (PS4)
  • WWE 2K Battlegrounds (PS4)

July’s selection of games was definitely a mix of high and low expectations, but just in case, keep your expectations a bit lower.

The fighting game, WWE 2K Battlegrounds on PS4, the classic FPS game Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for PS4, and finally, the heartrending game A Plague Tale: Innocence for PS5 were available on this month’s selection.

Showered with good reviews, A Plague Tale: Innocence is, by far, our best bet as a top player’s pick for this month. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 had a lot of mixed reactions and reviews, while WWE 2K Battlegrounds has the worst reviews out of the three.

June 2021 PS Plus Games

  • Operation: Tango (PS5)
  • Star Wars: Squadrons (PS4)
  • Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown (PS4)

In June PS Plus members had a blast!

The games in June were:

  • The espionage-themed co-op game Operation: Tango, available on PS5.
  • The interstellar battling and adventuring game Star Wars: Squadrons for PS4.
  • The fighting game Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown for PS4.

We can already guess Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown to be a top player’s pick for the month; easy to play, difficult to master. Star Wars: Squadrons has a lot of potential, but nothing special. Operation: Tango is fun, but is it any better without friends?

May 2021 PS Plus Games

  • Wreckfest (PS5)
  • Battlefield V (PS4)
  • Stranded Deep (PS4)

Did somebody ask for more action? Ah yes, May did.

The PS Plus’ game selection for May includes:

  • The chaotic car-smashing game, Wreckfest on PS5.
  • The battling game, Battlefield V on PS4.
  • The post-plane crash survival game, Stranded Deep on PS4.

Battlefield has its own fair share of fans around the globe but also has its gaming issues hindering it from achieving greatness. The same goes for Wreckfest and Stranded Deep.

April 2021 PS Plus Games

  • Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5)
  • Days Gone (PS4)
  • Zombie Army 4: Dead War (PS4)

Is it Halloween already? Nope, but this month’s game selection is giving me the fright!

This month’s selection brings us Abe’s heroic journey in the Oddworld: Soulstorm game on PS5, alongside spine-chilling game Zombie Army 4: Dead War and horror game Days Gone, both for PS4.

Out of three, Zombie Army: Dead War was more likely to meet the public’s expectations in becoming the top player’s pick of the month, even though Days Gone has an astonishing fanbase. Both Oddworld: Soulstorm and Days Gone just seem to have issues keeping them tied.

March 2021 PS Plus Games

Sony has confirmed four games for March while deciding to keep Destruction AllStars for one more month.

The month’s picks were:

  • The unique puzzle game Maquette for PS5.
  • The post-apocalyptic survival game Remnant: From the Ashes on PS4.
  • The extra-terrestrial VR game, Farpoint for PS4.
  • The most famous RPG game, Final Fantasy VII Remake for PS5.

Remnant: From the Ashes and Farpoint are closer to be this month’s top player’s picks.

The Final Fantasy franchise may have a structured fanbase, but some issues in the game came on as a disappointment. The same goes for Maquette, full of potential but just did not get there yet.

February 2021

  • Destruction AllStars (PS5)
  • Control: Ultimate Edition (PS5, PS4)
  • Concrete Genie (PS4)

The February selection was a mix of the expected and unexpected for PS Plus members — in a good way.

The selection counts with the epic racing sports game Destruction AllStars on PS5, the magnificently crafted quest game Concrete Genie for PS4, and the third-person action-adventure award-winning game Control: Ultimate Edition available on PS4 and PS5, this last one being a complete surprise to most subscribers.

This month’s top player’s picks would resume to Destruction AllStars, bringing a better gaming experience, and Control: Ultimate Edition, containing the main game plus all previously released expansions of the game.

Although, it is a touching and wonderfully crafted game. Due to combat issues, Concrete Genie did not get to be a top favorite.

January 2021

All PS Plus Games 2021 - Maneater was the first game available for the PS5 on PS Plus.
All PS Plus Games 2021 – Maneater was the first game available for the PS5 on PS Plus.
  • Maneater (PS5)
  • Greedfall (PS4)
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider (PS4)

A fresh start for Sony PS Plus subscribers, and a very hectic, action-packed month.

PS Plus members get the adventure of a lifetime with Lara Croft on Shadow of Tomb Raider on PS4, the RPG game Greedfall also on the PS4, and the thrilling game of survival Maneater on its most recent-gen PS5, which can be played on a PS4 through backward compatibility.

The Tomb Raider franchise’s large fanbase surely made Shadow of Tomb Raider make it to the player’s top picks of the month, alongside Maneater, now in a PS5 resolution, providing a better gaming experience.

Greedfall, although it didn’t make it to the cut, is generally considered “a bit boring, but okay” so far.

Don’t Have A Subscription

If you don’t have a PS Plus subscription you’re missing out on three fantastic free games each and every month. It’s a decent price so it’s definitely worth it. It’s great value in my opinion and there are some fantastic deals to be had.

For example, you can get a whole year membership for as little as $59.99 from Amazon, hit the link here to check it out. And if you think about it, play just two games that are apart of the PS Plus library and you’ll already have had your money’s worth!
