Xbox Game Pass May 2020 games have been revealed! Yes, that’s right. News of the free to play games for May 2020 have already started to find their way to the internet.

You’ll be able to play some of the games from as early as April 25th. With most of them being available from 1st May 2020.

Let’s take a look at the latest games to grace those of us with a Games Pass subscription, after some pretty heavy disappointment last month, let’s hope we’re in for a much better month. Read on below to find out!

Xbox Games Pass May 2020 – Latest Games

We’ll update the article when we have more of the game titles available. We’ll include the game title, what platform and a short summary of the game. But here’s what we know so far:

  • DayZ (May 7th, 2020)
  • Final Fantasy IX (May 14th, 2020)
  • Fractured Minds (May 19th, 2020)

We also know that we’ll be getting the following either in April or May. We’ll add the full details as soon as we get them. It looks set to be an exciting month for gamers.

Fractured Minds

Available: May 19th
Platform: Console

A short game exploring the human psyche. Coming soon to XBOX Games Pass May 2020. We can’t say we’re super excited for this one, but it’ll be worth checking out nonetheless.

Final Fantasy IX

Available: May 14th
Platform: Console

A FF game coming to Xbox Games Pass in May 2020? We can’t believe it! Check out the below plot synopsis from the XBOX Website:

“Zidane and the Tantalus Theater Troupe have kidnapped Princess Garnet, the heir of Alexandria. To their surprise, however, the princess herself yearned to escape the castle. Through a series of unusual circumstances, she and her personal guard, Steiner, fall in with Zidane and set out on an incredible journey in this classic entry in the heralded Final Fantasy series.”

Gears Tactics

Available: April 28th
Platform: PC

Gears Tactics is a turn-based strategy game developed from the ground up for PC. It’s out today (28th April 2020) exclusively on PC.

It’s set around 12 years before the first Gears of War game, so a prequel then, sounds exciting. Gears Tactics sees cities on Sera beginning to fall to the Locust Horde. If you haven’t played Gears of War before, check out the best gears games here.

With the government almost destroyed you’ll need to commandeer a squad of survivors led by Gabe Diaz to lead humanity to safety. You are perhaps, the human race’s last hope.

The game gives you the ability to customise your squad’s loadout and equipment, this enables to you approach the game tactically as you work through a dangerous mission to hunt down the relentless and powerful leader of the Locust army: Ukkon.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Available: May 7th

The year is 1899 and Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are outlaws on the run. Federal agents are on their tail and they need to ourtin the law and survive in the rugged heartland of America.

The Games Pass May 2020 Red Dead Redemption edition comes with an additional Story Mode and a fully-featured Photo Mode.

Also according to Xbox News Website:

“Red Dead Redemption 2 also includes free access to the shared living world of Red Dead Online, where players take on an array of roles to carve their own unique path on the frontier as they track wanted criminals as a Bounty Hunter, create a business as a Trader, unearth exotic treasures as a Collector or run an underground distillery as a Moonshiner and much more.”

Wasteland 3

Wasteland 3 is a squad-based RPG game developed by inXile entertainment. The game features tactical combat battles and hours of exploration. It has a story that reacts to your choices with has many twists and turns.

You can play single-player or co-op and you have the ability to create a squad of up to six players, or Rangers. Customize each ranger with their own abilities and perks.

You’ll be able to drive your very own battle truck which you can upgrade into a hardened war machine jam packed with devastating weaponry.

In Wasteland 3 the fate of Arizona depends on the fate of Colorado.

We’re really looking forward to this one.
