Anyone got one? After this lock down is finished might invest in one for security.

Hi Frank,

I've heard good things about the RING doorbell. So good in fact I bought one. There is a caveat to that though, they're only really worth it if you have mains power going to your existing doorbell. (in my opinion anyway). If you don't have power to the doorbell i wouldn't recommend it.

So if you have power then get the RING PRO. It's smaller than the original but most importantly it has a much better camera (4k). You can set motion zones instead of just adjusting it's sensitivity. You'll be able to highlight the area on the camera that you only want to trigger motion.

Expensive though at around £229.00 but Amazon do offer it for £45.80 a month for 5 months, interest free. Although I think monthly payments are only available for UK residents, not sure where you live...

Anyway, heres a link: https://amzn.to/2WqHDbY

I'm very pleased with it. Video quality is great, motion detection is spot on and near instant notifications to my phone and my Echo. Very poor WiFi signal though but in fairness it does have a lot of obstacles to get through, so will be purchasing a WiFi extender and my Floodlight Cam is struggling also. So far, so good!
